About the Consumer Product team
In our Kiwi.com Consumer Product team, we are dedicated to nurturing the reliability of our unique Virtual Interlining product and facilitating the smooth management of travel disruptions. Our goal is to minimize the effects of unforeseen events on our customers' journeys, embracing expertise across various domains such as search algorithms, baggage handling, and refunds. We proactively monitor potential flight disruptions, assess their impact, and ensure clear communication with our customers to provide solutions for reaching their destinations. Our commitment is rooted in developing high-quality software that aligns harmoniously with the needs of travelers.
What you will do
- You will design, develop, integrate and deploy high-quality software aligned with user needs and business goals, finding a balance between our business needs and technical excellence.
- You’ll write and review performant code, debug and optimise apps and ensure best practices.
- You’ll take ownership of small to medium-sized projects related to your team’s product area.
- You will actively promote & support continuous learning approaches within the team and department, demonstrating a positive and solution focused approach.
What you will need
- You are fluent in Python or you know the basics of Python and you’re fluent in another modern programming language.
- You are familiar with some of our technologies: GCP, Kubernetes, Redis, PostgreSQL, React, Go.
- You have the ability to quickly learn on your own – not being afraid to ask questions, experiment, fail, learn and succeed.
- You are fluent in English (both spoken and written) and bring strong communication and collaboration skills.
- You possess professional experience working in a product-driven environment.
- You are able to manage your own time, know your limits and report issues if they arise.
- You have the demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and within a collaborative team environment, contributing to shared goals and problem solving.
