Part time vet at Willows Vet Centre, Newport Pagnell

Up to £65,000 (FTE) depending on experience

Willow Vet Centre, a proud member of inspiring vet care, is looking for a vet to join on a permanent part time basis. At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

You will need to be a committed team player, experienced in all general practice roles including consulting and surgery - a relevant certificate or interest in pursuing one would definitely be desirable! The role will be mainly based at our main site in Newport Pagnell, but there will also be some consulting sessions at our Olney site.

About us

Our highly experienced vet team is composed of 8.1 FTE clinicians, including certificate holders in medicine and exotics. Our vets are supported by our fantastic RVN team, which is made up of 8.8 FTE RVNs. We have all the usual toys including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy (flexible and rigid), in house lab and dental x-ray. We absolutely encourage case follow through and clinical autonomy and hold regular clinical team meetings.

Here's what the team have to say

'I joined Willow Vets in 2018 and have worked my way up from placement SVN to senior nurse. I’ve also completed an RVN certificate in anaesthesia. The best thing about working at Willow Vets is the team spirit and supportive atmosphere; we all work together to provide the very best care for our patients, which is the most important thing for us all. Many of the team have been here for at least 10 years, with some having worked here for over 20 years so we know how to keep staff. I'm looking forward to many more years at Willows!’ – Bethan, Senior Nurse

The Rota

Ideally, this position will require up to 32 hours per week, covering Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays, along with 1:5 Saturday mornings (08:00 – 13:00).
