Here at Island Vets, we are looking for a dedicated and friendly Student Veterinary Nurse to join our branch in Stone, Staffordshire!

The role will involve:
*Holding animals for examination and procedures
*Caring for animals in kennels including feeding, grooming and giving medications appropriate to training level
*Helping to take and process blood and other lab samples
*Assisting with preparing animals for surgery and monitoring anaesthetics, appropriate to training level
*Cleaning and sterilising instruments 
*Cleaning clinical areas 

Rota

The rota includes working 30 hours per week over 3 full days from 8:00am-7:00pm.

Our location and practice

Stone is a market town and civil parish in the Borough of Stafford. It is situated approximately 7 miles (11 km) north of Stafford, 7 miles (11 km) south of Stoke-on-Trent and 15 miles (24 km) north of Rugeley. As a notable canal town, Stone is recognised for its rich history, originating from the early Bronze Age and continuing through the Industrial Revolution, with the introduction of the Trent and Mersey Canal shaping the town's development and local industry. We currently have 1 vet,2 nurses on duty every day.
