We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at London Road Veterinary Centre on a part-time basis.
Our two-site small animal practice in Norfolk has a great reputation for clinical quality, kindness and teamwork. You’ll be working alongside 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Patient Care Assistants and 7 Client Care colleagues in a spacious, air-conditioned practice near the beautiful North Norfolk coast.
We’re well equipped with digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, endoscopy, anaesthetic monitoring, an in-house laboratory, suction and infusion pumps, and we’re proud to be an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic. We have species-specific kennel areas, a separate dental suite, prep room and sterile theatre, ensuring we can deliver the highest standards of care.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
* Part-time, 25 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
* Answer telephone calls promptly, dealing with queries or directing them to the appropriate colleague
* Book appointments and process prescription requests
* Register clients and maintain accurate records on the practice management system
* Handle cash, card and cheque payments accurately
* Maintain clean, welcoming reception and waiting areas
* Place stock orders, unpack deliveries and rotate stock appropriately
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
We are looking for a friendly, motivated and professional individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist. While previous experience in a veterinary reception environment would be advantageous, it is not essential. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
