We are hiring!
Our hospital is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistants to support our team of vets and nurses to provide a high level of patient care. You will support our wards team to deliver outstanding inpatient care and maintain the hospital cleanliness on the weekends. The wards department is a fast paced area of the hospital, that strive to provide the highest level of patient care to our patients.
As a VCA you will be expected to assist the team in daily tasks such as helping to handle patients for blood sampling, IV placements, examinations and inpatient care. You will assist with tasks such as daily exercise/ toileting, grooming, feeding and physiotherapy. You be required to help the teams with admin tasks and maintaining cleanliness within the hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your animal handling skills and veterinary care knowledge.
About the rota
The hours for this role are Saturday and Sunday (every other week), shifts are 8am-5pm. There is a bank holiday rota that you will be part of that will consist of you working 1-2 bank holidays per year.

Our ideal candidate
*Animal care/ handling experience essential
*Animal care qualification (Level 3 and above)
*Experience working in a veterinary practice or kennel environment
*Good communication skills
*Good organisational skills
*Must be proactive and have good time management skills.
