Find your future

Are you a passionate Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking practice? Lawrie Vet Group, part of the IVC Evidensia family, is expanding—and we’re excited to welcome a new vet to our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop clinically, contribute to a highly regarded practice, and become part of a community-focused team. We offer a wide range of services to small animals, with a varied and stimulating caseload of both first opinion and referral cases. This role will be based across all four of our sites—in Cumbernauld, Falkirk, Laurieston, and our newly opened clinic in Bo’ness.

What you'll be doing

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll manage a balanced caseload that includes routine consultations, surgery, diagnostics, and ongoing case workups. You’ll work closely with our experienced team— including certificate holders and highly skilled nurses—ensuring continuity of care and delivering an exceptional client experience.

You’ll also play an active role in supporting inpatient care during scheduled shifts, helping maintain high clinical standards and excellent patient outcomes. This structure supports a smooth workflow while ensuring you have the time and space needed to provide quality care.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, worked on a rota basis. Your weekly hours include cover for any inpatients during evenings and weekends, supporting good continuity of care while maintaining a healthy work–life balance. We pride ourselves on offering fair, well-structured rotas that enable our vets to thrive both professionally and personally.

Meet like-minded professionals

Lawrie Vet Group is known for delivering exceptional veterinary care with an emphasis on clinical excellence, continuity, and strong client relationships. As part of IVC Evidensia, we combine the supportive feel of a local community practice with the added benefits and resources of a larger veterinary network.

Our caseload is varied and interesting, and includes exotic species. We have dedicated vets who lead on exotic cases, meaning you won’t be expected to manage these independently—but if you have an interest in exotics, there are great opportunities for training and development.

You’ll be working in a well-equipped, modern practice with advanced diagnostic tools and a skilled nursing team. Our vets include certificate holders and experienced colleagues who are always happy to support and share knowledge. Whether you’re looking to broaden your surgical skills, explore new clinical interests, or simply enjoy working in a collaborative environment, you’ll find the right support here.
