We’re excited to welcome a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join Lawrie Vet Group as part of our growing, friendly, and forward-thinking team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop clinically within a supportive and well-established, multi-site practice known for its commitment to clinical excellence, continuity of care, and strong client relationships.

Based across our four sites in Cumbernauld, Falkirk, Laurieston, and our newly opened clinic in Bo’ness, this role offers a varied and rewarding caseload across multiple settings, giving you the opportunity to work flexibly within a genuinely community-focused group.

Our practice includes:

*A multi-site team working across four locations, providing a diverse and varied clinical environment
*Experienced Veterinary Surgeons including certificate holders and colleagues with advanced clinical interests
*A highly skilled and supportive nursing team running nurse clinics and supporting inpatient care
*A varied first opinion caseload with opportunities for more complex case work-ups and ongoing case management
*Exposure to a broad range of cases, including exotic species, with dedicated colleagues leading on exotic caseloads
*A modern, well-equipped clinical environment with strong diagnostic capabilities
*A collaborative culture focused on learning, mentorship, and clinical development

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will deliver high-quality clinical care across a varied caseload, working collaboratively with a supportive and experienced team across multiple sites.

You’ll be actively involved in consultations, diagnostics, surgical procedures, and ongoing case management, contributing to a strong continuity of care for patients and clients.

Key responsibilities include:

*Managing a balanced first opinion caseload including consultations and surgery
*Performing routine surgical and medical procedures with appropriate case work-up
*Supporting inpatient care and clinical case continuity across shifts
*Working collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff across all sites
*Contributing to clinical discussions and shared decision-making
*Maintaining high standards of patient care and client communication

Working pattern:

*40 hours per week on a structured rota
*Inclusion of inpatient care duties during evenings and weekends
*Well-balanced rota designed to support work-life balance
*Full-time role (part-time options may be considered depending on service needs)

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are a motivated and compassionate veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a supportive multi-site team and is committed to delivering excellent patient and client care. You’ll bring:

*A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
*Experience in small animal first opinion practice, with confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
*Strong communication and teamwork skills across multi-site environments
*A proactive approach to learning and clinical development
*The ability to manage a varied caseload with support when needed
*A collaborative mindset and commitment to high clinical standards
