We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic small animal and exotics team!
A Diverse Role
Duties for this role will include; admits, assisting vets in surgery, anaesthesia, discharges, inpatient care, nurse clinics, consult team, pharmacy, ward nurse, recovery, countersigning the medication box, nurse messages and of course client care. This is a great opportunity to work with a wide variety of species, to a high standard, and be part of a friendly and supportive practice.
Our Practice & Facilities
We are based at two sites; Chorlton and Sale, with our Avian and Exotic referral clinic at Chorlton. We are a supportive, caring, busy practice with fantastic teamwork. Our cases are varied, and so are the species of patients we care for. If you are looking for a position where no two days are the same, the patients come in literally all shapes and sizes, and you enjoy working within a friendly knowledgeable large team, this is the practice for you!
We are lucky to have great clients! Our aim to is provide a high standard of veterinary care as well as maintain our great local reputation. We pride ourselves on giving honest advice and we NEVER work to targets.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to a wide variety of species. The ideal candidate will have:
* A valid RVN qualification and registration with the RCVS
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with both clients and team members
* A keen interest in working with small animals and exotics, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development
* The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate approach
* A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a supportive, collaborative practice
* High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively
Working Hours
The rota is designed to give a great work life balance with the 40 hours being spread over the 4 days a week Monday to Friday. Plus weekends 1 in 5.
