Join Our Warm and Welcoming Team at Cogges Vets

Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a role where you can truly make an impact? At Cogges Veterinary Surgery in Witney, we’re searching for a caring, dedicated RVN to join our close-knit and experienced team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, values lasting client relationships, and thrives in a supportive, family-feel environment.

A Practice Rooted in Community and Care

Cogges Veterinary Surgery has been part of the Witney community since 1993, and over the years we’ve built a reputation for friendly, high-quality care that our clients trust. We became part of the IVC Evidensia family in 2019, but have proudly maintained our independent spirit and personal touch. Our single-site, small animal practice is equipped with everything you need to deliver excellent clinical standards, including digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house Idexx laboratory machines.

A Day in the Life

Your role as an RVN will be wonderfully varied, covering all aspects of nursing and patient care. You’ll be involved in managing the ops diary, monitoring anaesthetics, taking radiographs, caring for inpatients, supporting our vets and reception team, and running your own nurse clinics. We’ll encourage you to use your full range of skills and to shape your role around your interests, whether that’s anaesthesia, inpatient care, client education, or something new you’d like to explore.

At Cogges, we believe in giving our nurses autonomy and support in equal measure so if there’s an area you’re passionate about, we’ll do our best to help you develop it.

A Healthy Balance That Works for You

This is a full-time position, working five 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours), with 1 in 5 weekends and time off in lieu. There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday duties, giving you plenty of time to enjoy life outside of work. We’re also very happy to consider part-time applications, as flexibility is something we truly value.

What Makes Cogges Special

You’ll be joining a team that genuinely enjoys what they do. Our vets, nurses, and client care colleagues work hand in hand to deliver compassionate, personalised care for every patient. We take pride in our calm, friendly atmosphere and the strong bonds we’ve built with our clients, many of whom have been with us for years.
Our loyal client base, modern facilities, and dedicated team make Cogges a lovely place to work, learn, and grow. Whether you’re an experienced RVN or newly qualified and looking for a supportive environment to continue developing, you’ll find a warm welcome here.

Grow Your Skills and Enjoy the Journey

We’re looking for a confident, compassionate, and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse with a genuine passion for patient care and client communication. You’ll be organised, reliable, and enjoy being part of a collaborative team where everyone pitches in and supports one another.

If you’re looking for a practice where you can build meaningful connections, feel valued for what you bring, and continue to grow both professionally and personally then Cogges Veterinary Surgery could be the perfect fit.
