This role provides an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the growing IVC Evidensia Tax function and offers broad exposure across corporate tax, combining hands-on responsibility for corporate tax compliance, and value-adding project work within a dynamic group environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in local corporate tax filings across the Group, collaborating with advisors, managing corporate tax payments, and supporting with tax audits, as well as contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the tax function. We’re looking for a technically strong tax professional who can communicate clearly and effectively with both tax and non-tax stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Working with the Corporate Tax Compliance Team to manage local corporate tax compliance filing
obligations across the Group
* Working with the Group’s advisers to optimise filing positions
* Preparation and monitoring of corporate tax payment estimates
* Preparation of consolidated tax filings which could include CbC, CFC, and CIR depending on experience
* Responses to tax audits
* Working closely with the Group Tax Reporting Lead in respect of the underlying subsidiary entities to monitor and maintain reporting of local tax charges and cash taxes
* There is also the option to become involved with withholding tax compliance, forecasting for local tax charges and cash taxes, tax accounting, and tax technical research.
Project Work:
The Tax Function strives to identify opportunities to improve tax processes as well as supporting the wider business projects. As a result, this role will also include regular project work. This includes involvement and exposure to RDEC, optimising use of the tax reporting system (Oracle TRCS) for compliance reporting purposes, reporting monthly KPIs, as well as other finance related initiatives.
Experience/Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant and/or tax advisor with strong accounting background.
* Post-qualification experience, with evidence of CPD.
* Experience could be gained in practice or industry (or combination).
* Proven track record in corporate tax, including a knowledge of cross-border tax issues.
* The ability to understand and explain technical issues.
* An understanding and ability to quantify, communicate and manage tax risk.
* Strong IT skills and experience with accounting reporting systems.
* Effective communicator; able to build strong relationships with colleagues in other countries and departments and with third party tax advisors.
* A desire to identify improvements and drive change; demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude.
* Strong time management skills; comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently.
* An ability to understand issues and identify potential solutions.
* Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
* A desire to grow with the role as the Group continues to grow.
