At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Equine Groom/VCA to join our team at Wendover Park Equine on a full-time fixed-term basis (3-month contract).
We have a very mixed caseload extending from pony club ponies through to amateur and competition horses - we even get the occasional donkey!
We benefit from an on-site clinic facility including a treatment room, five stables, an equine theatre with induction and recovery rooms, paddocks, a trot-up area, and both hard and soft lunge areas.
We regularly carry out a wide range of diagnostics using equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, gastroscopes, endoscopes, laser therapy and specialist dental equipment. We also welcome regular visits from travelling surgeons, and you'll play an integral role in ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care throughout their stay with us.

We're looking for someone who is organised, enjoys working as part of a team but is equally confident working independently, and takes pride in maintaining high standards. Previous equine experience is essential, and you must be confident handling horses of all ages and temperaments, from youngsters through to competition horses.
Daily Tasks Will Include

* Providing day-patient and inpatient care, including mucking out, grooming, general husbandry and routine patient monitoring
* Supporting client communication both in person and over the telephone
Working Pattern
* Monday to Friday
* Up to 40 hours per week
* Hours will typically range between 25 and 40 per week depending on caseload
* Flexibility is required, with daily hours planned around the clinical workload
