Alora Vets is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and progressive small animal practice, ideally located just off the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Working alongside our experienced Clinical Director and Lead Vet, both of whom hold certificates in Small Animal Medicine and Dentistry, you'll benefit from a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and professional development are actively encouraged.
Practice Highlights
* Purpose-built small animal GP practice conveniently located between Glasgow and Edinburgh
* Experienced clinical leadership with certificate holders in Small Animal Medicine and Dentistry
* Modern facilities including digital radiography, dental radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, acupuncture, and physiotherapy services
* 4-vet team supported by 4.5 RVNs, Head RVN, Practice Manager, 2 Animal Care Assistants, Head Receptionist, and 4 Receptionists
* Strong emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, and clinical excellence
* Regular clinical and non-clinical meetings to discuss cases, review protocols, and support continuous improvement
* Varied first-opinion caseload with clinical freedom and excellent team support

How You'll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while contributing to our supportive and collaborative team culture.
You'll be responsible for:
* Delivering high-quality small animal veterinary care across consultations, surgery, and diagnostics
* Managing a varied first-opinion caseload with clinical autonomy and support when needed
* Working closely with the wider clinical team to provide outstanding patient and client care
* Participating in regular clinical discussions and contributing to practice development
* Supporting a positive team culture built on collaboration, learning, and shared success
* Continuing to develop your clinical interests through ongoing learning opportunities
Working Pattern
* 40 hours per week across four days
* 8:30am – 6:30pm working days
* 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (8:30am – 1:00pm)
* Friday off following your Saturday morning as time in lieu
* No out-of-hours responsibilities, with emergency care provided by dedicated Vets Now teams in Glasgow and Edinburgh
* Part-time applications welcomed for the right candidate
