We are seeking a motivated Student Veterinary Nurse to join our Twilight / Emergency (OOH) team at AllPets Veterinary Hospital on a part-time, permanent basis.

 

At AllPets Veterinary Hospital, we’re introducing a brand-new out-of-hours emergency service, and we’re looking for a student nurse to join our experienced and supportive team.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience, develop practical nursing skills, and build confidence working alongside experienced veterinary professionals while continuing your studies.

 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

 

You’ll be an integral part of the hospital team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. You’ll gain valuable exposure to emergency and critical care cases while developing confidence in your day-to-day clinical practice.

 

Working Pattern

 
* Sunday and Bank Holiday shifts: 2:30pm – 7:30pm
* Optional overnight back-up on-call during the week (outside term time and college hours)
* Flexible working designed around study commitments
 

Clinical Exposure

 
* Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) cases
* Hospital-based nursing support
* Inpatient care and monitoring
* Exposure to advanced diagnostics, imaging and surgical procedures
* Working alongside experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses

We are looking for a motivated student nurse who is enthusiastic about developing their clinical skills and gaining practical experience in a hospital environment. You’ll bring:

 
* Current enrolment on an accredited Veterinary Nursing degree programme in Ireland (Bachelor of Science qualification)
* Eligibility for VCI registration upon completion of your qualification
* A genuine interest in developing emergency and critical care nursing skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
