Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is a thriving small animal practice with three branch surgeries and an RCVS Tier 3 hospital based in Newbury, Berkshire. Newbury is a vibrant market town with excellent amenities, direct rail links to London Paddington in under an hour, and easy access to the beautiful countryside of the North Wessex Downs.
Our team is passionate about delivering outstanding care to patients and exceptional service to clients. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive experience for every client and pet visiting the practice.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
General Responsibilities
* Liaise with clients and clinical teams to deliver a high standard of customer care
* Meet and greet clients and their pets
* Book appointments and manage clinician diaries
* Manage telephone and email enquiries
* Take payments for services and products
* Manage cash handling and end-of-day banking processes
* Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for clients and pets
Our reception team is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring every client has the best possible experience when visiting the practice.
Working Pattern
* Part-time permanent position
* Monday 8:00am–2:00pm (Newbury)
* Thursday 2:30pm–7:00pm (Tadley)
* Friday 2:30pm–7:00pm (Tadley)
* 1 in 4 Saturdays at Newbury from 9:00am–5:00pm
* 1 in 9 Saturdays at Tadley from 8:30am–10:30am
