On-site
Here at Willow Vets, we're looking for an amazing vet to replace one of our longstanding team who is heading back to her home country after 8 wonderful years with us. You will need to be a committed team player, experienced in all general practice roles including consulting and surgery. The role will be mainly based at our main site in Newport Pagnell, but there will be some consulting sessions required at our Olney site.

Flexibility with the rota

We are proud to say our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Ideally, a fulltime role would involve working 40 hours per week, over 4 days. There’s also 2:5 Saturday mornings (08:00 – 13:00). However, we can also support part time applicants, too.

About us

Our highly experienced vet team is composed of 8.1 FTE clinicians, including certificate holders in medicine and exotics. Our vets are supported by our fantastic RVN team, which is made up of 8.8 FTE RVNs. We have all the usual toys including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy (flexible and rigid), in house lab and dental x-ray. We absolutely encourage case follow through and clinical autonomy and hold regular clinical team meetings.

Here’s what the team have to say

'I joined Willow Vets in 2018 and have worked my way up from placement SVN to senior nurse. I’ve also completed an RVN certificate in anaesthesia. The best thing about working at Willow Vets is the team spirit and supportive atmosphere; we all work together to provide the very best care for our patients, which is the most important thing for us all. Many of the team have been here for at least 10 years, with some having worked here for over 20 years so we know how to keep staff. I'm looking forward to many more years at Willows!’ – Bethan, Senior Nurse
