We are seeking an organised, personable Customer Care / Receptionist to join our team at O'Shea, Bramley & Breen Veterinary Hospital on a full-time basis.
 
O'Shea, Bramley & Breen Veterinary Hospital is a busy, progressive practice with a loyal client base and a strong reputation for delivering outstanding patient and client care. Our reception team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for every client while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital.
 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 
As a Customer Care / Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
 
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
 

Working Pattern

 
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week over 4.5 days.
* Practice opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 8:00pm
* Saturday opening hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
* Shifts are worked on a rota basis within these hours
* No Sundays, Bank Holidays or out-of-hours work
* Overtime is returned as time off in lieu (TOIL)
 

Key Responsibilities

 
* Welcome clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner
* Answer telephone and email enquiries efficiently
* Book and manage appointments using the Merlin practice management system
* Process payments and complete end-of-day cash procedures
* Maintain stock levels and assist with deliveries
* Support general administrative duties across the practice
* Maintain high standards throughout reception and client-facing areas
* Develop product knowledge to confidently assist clients with their enquiries

* Previous reception, customer service and administrative experience

* Strong IT skills and confidence using computer systems

* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* A calm, positive approach and genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
* Experience within a veterinary practice or working with animals would be advantageous
