We are looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking Director of Practice to lead and grow our high-quality first opinion multi-site group including a main hospital and specialist dental facility, where collaboration, development, and team wellbeing are central to everything we do.
As Director of Practice, you will work closely with Senior Vets, Senior Nurses, the Customer Care Lead, and central support teams. You will play a pivotal role in the leadership and management of the practice, with a strong focus on communication, collaboration, and relationship building. Located in Backworth, just outside Newcastle, Moorview Vets offers the perfect balance of city convenience and coastal lifestyle. How You’ll Make a Difference
As Director of Practice , you will have overall responsibility for the operational, commercial, and people performance of one or more practices or hospitals, working closely with clinical leadership to deliver outstanding patient and client care.
You’ll set and execute the strategic direction of the practice(s), lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of high standards across operations, client experience, and business performance. This role plays a critical part in shaping culture, driving results, and supporting sustainable growth.
*Drive business growth & strategic leadership through the annual business plan, monitoring performance & share best practice
*Drive continuous improvement and change initiatives & monitor performance and engage the team in shared goals
*Support high clinical standards & governance compliance whilst promoting a culture of learning, development, and continuous improvement
*Support client engagement & retention strategies
*Create an engaging, supportive, high-performance environment & ensure effective resource planning and team development
*Manage the full P&L of the practice & deliver budgetary goals and drive sustainable growth
*covering 5 sites including a main hospital and specialist dental facility
*This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, with occasional Saturdays and evenings when required.
