Robson and Prescott Veterinary Surgeons are a group of veterinary practices located in Morpeth, Alnwick, Ashington, Bedlington, Blyth, Seaton Delaval, West Moor and Newbiggin. You will have the opportunity to work at our main hospital in Morpeth, as well as at one of our 7 branch practices. Morpeth is a busy market town with an array of shops and restaurants, a new purpose-built leisure facility and library. It is located on the East coast mainline, 20 minutes from Newcastle with access to theatres, bars and the airport. The stunning coastline of Northumberland with its beautiful beaches is only 10 minutes away with the Cheviot hills providing walking, climbing and mountain biking only 20 minutes West.

We have a large, supportive and friendly team which includes 31 Vets and 26 Nurses as well as fantastic support and administrative teams. Within the team, we have certificate holders in Surgery, Medicine, Imaging, Dermatology, Exotics, Dentistry, Behaviour and ECC.

We are an 8-site practice based out of a large purpose-built hospital on the outskirts of Morpeth. The hospital comprises 4 ultra-modern surgical theatres, a radiography/endoscopy suite, ultrasonography, dental radiography, laboratory and hydrotherapy suites. We have separate wards for cats, dogs, small mammals and exotics. Our 6 consult rooms are available all day with streams of both Vet and Nurse consults. We provide our own OOH, and the hospital is staffed 24/7 by a Vet and Nurse team. The branches consist of sites where we have operating facilities and consult only branches.

You will work 40 hours per week over a 4-day week. The OOH contribution includes 1:12 contribution to weekday nights and 1:5 single night contribution to weekends.

You will join a large team of supportive Vets who bring a whole range of experience from certificate holders down to other new graduates. Both our Vet and Nurse teams and caring and supportive and our aim is to allow you to develop both your surgical and consulting skills to your full potential.
