We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Oval Pet Centre on a full-time basis. This position will be based across both our Welling and Sidcup sites on a fixed term contract, with the potential to become permanent after 10 months.
Oval Pet Centre is a busy, well-established first-opinion small-animal practice operating across two sites in SE London/Kent. We’re also a diverse, international team, with colleagues from the UK, Romania, Italy and Poland, bringing different experiences and perspectives to the practice.
Practice Highlights
* Well-equipped practices, with a great range of diagnostic facilities including IDEXX in-house blood and urinalysis machines, ultrasound and a dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray.
* 2-site group based 20 minutes from London.
* Friendly and experienced team of 5 full-time Vets, 6 RVNs and 12 support team members.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
* 38 hours per week
* 2-week rota pattern, week 1 working 4 x 8.5-hour shifts, week 2 working 5 x 8.5-hour shifts between 9 am - 6 pm
* 1:4 Saturdays working 8:30 am - 5 pm with day off during the week
* No OOH
General Responsibilities
*Delivering excellent nursing care to our patients and supporting their owners.
*Working alongside our Vets with a varied medical and surgical caseload.
*Nurse clinics, inpatient care, anaesthesia and monitoring, laboratory work and dentistry.
*Helping us maintain a positive, professional and compassionate environment for our clients, patients and team.
