Role: Veterinary Receptionist

Location: Animals 1st, Macmerry

Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover (9 months)

Animals 1st is equipped with two theatres, a new ultrasound machine, and digital radiography. We are proud to be a Nurse and Vet training practice. Animals 1st is equipped with two theatres, an ultrasound machine, and digital radiography. 
Our wonderful team includes 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Animals Care Assistants, 1 Practice Manager, and 3 Receptionists. Among us, we have certificate holders in medicine and cardiology.

How you'll make a difference

The role is to provide reception cover and aspects of this role include (but are not limited to): 

*Welcoming clients and their pets in a professional and friendly manner. 
*Managing front-of-house. 
*Pharmacy duties-Assisting with the processing of prescriptions for clients. 
*Dispensing medications. 
*Booking appointments. 
*Stock control. 
*Getting paper-work ready in advance for the Vets. 
*Attending training events to maintain knowledge and awareness required for this role. 
*Keep waiting areas, consulting rooms, and offices, stocked and clean. 
*Entering information onto patient record systems accurately and in a timely manner. 
*Assisting the vets and nurses as and when required. 
*Registering new clients and explaining our services and offers. 
*Taking payments and processing daily banking. 
*Any other administrative tasks. 

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week from 8am-6pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. This is a maternity cover position for approximately 9 months with the possibility of extension.
