Role Overview

We are looking for a registered nurse who is confident and capable, with a desire to support clinical services at the hospital and our branches. Because we offer such a wide range of nursing services – from nurse clinics to referral anaesthesia, exotics to general practice, we would love to hear from you to see how we can support each other. You will be supported, and we will ensure your valuable and hard earned skills are put to great use.

Work With Cutting-Edge Facilities

We boast an excellent standard of first opinion services, whilst also providing a wide range of mid-tier referral services. We are proud to have certificate-holder-led departments in surgery, medicine, behaviour, dentistry, and exotics. Our varied caseload allows us to work up cases to a high standard, and this is an excellent opportunity to advance your referral nursing career. You’ll benefit from access to cutting-edge diagnostic tools such as CT, X-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and endoscopy across our fully-equipped practices. Our facilities include purpose-built consulting rooms, an isolation ward, and a spacious prep/theatre suite. We use multiparameter monitoring for anaesthesia and a ventilator to ensure the highest standard of care.

Work with an Experienced Team

Our team consists of 19 vets and 19 RVNs – we are proud to offer a dedicated emergency service, led by an entirely dedicated team of vets and nurses. There’s no night work for you – unless of course you want to, and we can support you. You will need to help out on the weekend rota, which includes one in six weekends, details below.
We are currently training a number of student nurses, working with a team of fabulous veterinary care assistants, and a fully staffed, experienced client care team. Together we provide an outstanding healthcare service that every team member can be proud to be a part of.

With 30 years of experience, we offer a range of annual team events, regular practice meetings, one-on-one career development and professional coaching for all staff. We also hold regular Schwartz Rounds to reflect on the emotional and social aspects of care.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week across a 5-day schedule. Shifts are 8 hours in length and fall between 5:30am and 8:00pm, on a rota basis covering Monday to Sunday. The role includes 1 in 6 weekends with time off in lieu, as well as a share of bank holiday cover.
