An exciting opportunity has arisen for a First Opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join our state-of-the-art Pride Veterinary Hospital in Derby. You'll rotate through consultations, wards and theatre, enjoying a varied caseload while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team. Although primarily based at Pride, there may be occasional opportunities to provide cover at nearby branch practices when required.
About Us
Scarsdale Veterinary Group is a well-established multi-site practice, with Pride Veterinary Hospital serving as our flagship site. Our team includes 15 permanent Veterinary Surgeons supported by a large team of Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants. You'll work alongside certificate holders in surgery, medicine and dermatology, while also benefiting from the expertise of our dedicated referral team.
Our hospital is equipped with everything you'd expect from a modern referral and first opinion facility, including a dental suite, ICU, CT scanner, ultrasound, digital x-ray, an in-house laboratory and much more.

Working Pattern
* Full-time, 38 hours per week over 4 days
* 1 in 6 weekend rota
* Two bank holidays per year with time off in lieu

As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you'll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You'll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

* A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
