We are seeking an organised, proactive Clinical Care Coordinator and Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Scarsdale Vets on a full-time basis.
 
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RVN who enjoys inpatient care, theatre nursing and client communication, while also taking responsibility for coordinating the daily workflow and organisation of hospital inpatients.
 
As Clinical Care Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring patients receive exceptional clinical care while supporting clear communication between clients, Veterinary Surgeons, the hospital team and referral colleagues.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 
As a Clinical Care Coordinator, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
 
You’ll help oversee the daily organisation of hospital inpatients, supporting patient flow, clinical standards and communication across the hospital. Working closely with Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses and referral colleagues, you’ll help ensure patients receive consistent, well-coordinated care throughout their hospital journey.
 

Working Pattern

 
* 38 hours per week across a 4-day working week
* 1 late shift per week, working 8:30am-7:00pm
* Remaining 3 shifts worked on a rota basis, averaging 8.5 hours per day between 7:30am and 7:00pm
* 1 in 6 weekends
* 1 to 2 Bank Holidays per year
* Participation in the weekend and Bank Holiday on-call rota
 

General Responsibilities

 
* Coordinate the daily inpatient workflow and support the smooth organisation of hospital cases
* Liaise with clients, providing clear patient updates and supporting discharge appointments
* Organise VAN transfers and work collaboratively with first opinion, hospital and referral colleagues
* Deliver high standards of nursing care across theatre, anaesthesia, wards and consultations

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
* Good organisational skills and the ability to coordinate workflow effectively in a busy hospital environment
* A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
