We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Animal House Vets on a full-time basis.
 
Animal House Vets is Bristol’s group with 4 surgeries in and around Bristol and we are looking to expand our fantastic nursing team due to maternity and plans for continued growth. You will be primarily based at our Speedwell practice, with occasional cover required at our other sites as needed. 
 
We value and empower our friendly nursing team and are looking for someone who is excited to develop their role to its maximum. We are looking for a RVN who is friendly, enjoys being part of a team but also able to work under their own initiative.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
 
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
 
This role is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position.
 

Working Pattern

 
* 38 hours per week
* 4 days - shifts between 8:30 - 18:30
* 1:4 Saturdays
* No out-of-hours requirement
 

General Responsibilities

 
* Conduct nursing consultations, providing advice and support to clients
* Assist with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery
* Provide high-quality inpatient and kennel care, ensuring patient comfort and welfare
* Prepare patients, equipment, and theatre for surgical procedures

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
