Veterinary Receptionist
All Care Veterinary Hospital, Killarney, Co. Kerry
Full-time, Permanent
From €14.15 per hour
Start Date: May 2026
A Front-of-House Role at the Heart of the Community
All Care Veterinary Hospital is looking for a friendly, organised, and approachable receptionist to join our small, close-knit team in Killarney. This is a key front-of-house role within a well-established practice that has been caring for local pets and their owners for over 40 years.
As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play an important part in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work, and values being part of a trusted local service.
A Schedule That Supports Balance
This is a full-time position, typically working 4 to 5 days per week with 8-hour shifts. The practice operates Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5:30pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break, along with a 1 in 3 Saturday rota.
There are no Sundays, bank holidays, or out-of-hours requirements, allowing for a consistent and predictable routine.
Your Day-to-Day Role
Working on reception in a busy small animal practice, your day will involve a mix of client interaction and administrative support. You’ll be welcoming clients and their pets, managing appointments, and handling queries both in person and over the phone.
You’ll also be responsible for processing payments, maintaining the reception area, and supporting the wider team with general admin tasks. There will be opportunities to build your knowledge of products and services, helping you to confidently assist clients with their questions.
While experience in reception/veterinary setting is beneficial, it’s not essential - full training can be provided for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a warm, personable nature who can build strong relationships with our long-standing clients. You should be comfortable managing a busy front desk, handling calls, and staying organised throughout the day.
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer-facing role is preferred, along with good IT skills and confidence handling payments. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes initiative, works well as part of a team, and has a genuine interest in animal welfare.
A Practice with Strong Local Roots
