At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

Holly House is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (ideally with a certificate or currently working towards one) who is confident in performing both medical and surgical treatments. This role offers the opportunity to work across surgical, medical and emergency departments, with exposure to exotic species as part of a varied caseload.

As a general practice with mid-tier referral, including certificate holder-led departments in surgery, dentistry and exotics, we work cases up to a high clinical standard while supporting continued professional development.

You'll have access to cutting-edge diagnostic equipment including CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy and endoscopy across our fully equipped practices. Our facilities include purpose-built consulting rooms, an isolation ward, a spacious prep and theatre suite, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring and ventilator support, enabling us to deliver outstanding care across both first opinion and referral cases.

Location and Team

Conveniently located just off the Leeds ring road near Roundhay Park, our practice benefits from excellent transport links into the city centre.

Our team includes 15 Veterinary Surgeons, 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 7 Student Veterinary Nurses, 5 Veterinary Care Assistants, 13 Receptionists and 3 Administrators. We are proud to provide a dedicated emergency service led by a specialist team of vets and nurses, delivering wraparound care across our hospital, first opinion practices and dedicated exotics clinic.

Having operated for over 30 years, we've built a supportive culture with regular team events, structured practice meetings, one-to-one career development and professional coaching. Rotas are carefully designed to promote work-life balance, ensuring protected breaks and home time wherever possible. We want to understand what you want from your career and support you in achieving it.
