Here at Abington Park, we are looking for a Student Veterinary Nurse to join our team! This is a full-time fixed-term position. Ideally we are looking for someone with Veterinary Care Assistant experience.

The role will involve:

*Holding animals for examination and procedures

*Caring for animals in kennels including feeding, grooming and giving medications appropriate to training level

*Helping to take and process blood and other lab samples

*Assisting with preparing animals for surgery and monitoring anaesthetics, appropriate to training level

*Cleaning and sterilising instruments 

*Cleaning clinical areas 

*Spending some time on reception 

You will be working 40 hours per week between 7:30am-7:30pm on shift rotation with 1:8 weekends. 

We are situated in picturesque Northamptonshire, offering a wide range of sporting, recreational and cultural activities for all, with great links to London and Birmingham. We have a great team of 13 Veterinary Surgeons (majority of them are certificate holders), 18 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, 4 Kennel Assistants and a Lab Technician.
