Looking for clinical freedom, true flexibility, and real career development? At AlphaVets, we’ve built an environment where you can thrive both professionally and personally. As a Veterinary Surgeon at AlphaVets, you’ll grow your skills, be part of a passionate and supportive team, consult, operate, and treat inpatients, or opt for a consulting-only role if you prefer. Our dual-location clinics offer excellent clinical exposure, including orthopaedic work-ups and advanced laparoscopic opportunities, so you can follow your clinical interests and ambitions.

Proud to Be Part of IVC Evidensia

At IVC Evidensia, we’re driven by the passion and commitment of our people — across clinical, operational, and support teams. With over 2,500 clinics and hospitals in 20 countries and around 41,000 employees, we care for approximately 25,000 animals every day. United by a shared purpose — Healthy Animals, Happy Owners — we champion long-term animal health and welfare through the dedication of every individual across our international network.

Supportive, Skilled and Well-equipped

Since opening in 1996, AlphaVets has invested heavily in state-of-the-art facilities:

Risca: 3 consulting rooms, digital x-rays, ultrasound, in-house lab, sterilisation room, and state-of-the-art dental equipment.

Langstone: Recently refurbished with separate dog and cat wards, dental suite, x-ray/ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and advanced orthopaedic and spinal equipment.

You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, experienced nurses, and committed reception staff, including RCVS advanced practitioners and surgical certificate holders. We foster a culture of transparency, personal development, and support, ensuring every team member can thrive.

Flexibility that fits your lifestyle

Wherever you are in your career, we support you. Our flexible approach to rota patterns ensures work-life balance is achievable, whether you want a standard week of 40 hours, or a bespoke schedule tailored to your lifestyle.
In return, we ask that you’re a confident communicator, willing to collaborate within the team to help our patients, and passionate about veterinary care.
