At Seafield Vets, we are proud to support the rural farming community across Moray. We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our Farm24 out-of-hours team, delivering essential emergency care to farm and equine clients.

This is a unique opportunity to focus purely on emergency work, supporting local farms and equine clients at critical times, while benefiting from an exceptional work-life balance. Our Farm24 model allows our daytime vets to focus on routine and preventative care, while our out-of-hours team provides seamless 24-hour support.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As an Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll play a key role in delivering emergency care to farm and equine clients across the region.

*Provide emergency veterinary care for farm and equine cases, including surgical obstetrics
*Work independently to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of emergency presentations
*Build strong relationships with local farmers and clients
*Collaborate with the wider practice team to ensure continuity of care
*Contribute to a high standard of clinical service within the Farm24 model

Working Pattern:

*1 week on, 3 weeks off rota
*On-call shifts: 6pm–8am Monday–Thursday, and 6pm Friday to 8am Monday
*Option to discuss alternative rota (e.g. 1 week on / 1 week off, salary adjusted)

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon with an interest in farm and equine emergency work. You’ll bring:

*A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility) with the RCVS
*Experience in farm and/or equine practice, with confidence in emergency care
*Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work independently
*An interest or experience in surgical obstetrics
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive, professional approach
