Welcome to Vermuyden Vets, a trailblazing small animal practice located in the heart of Goole. We've recently undergone a breath-taking transformation, expanding our small animal services and setting the stage for even greater achievements. Our practice boasts cutting-edge facilities, including digital X-ray, ultrasound and a full in-house laboratory.
 
Through our close partnership with Portland House Veterinary Group in Retford, you'll also benefit from access to additional facilities, experienced colleagues and a wider clinical network to support your development.

Our close-knit team currently consists of an experienced part-time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, supported by a fantastic group of Animal Care Assistants and Client Care colleagues. We're passionate about delivering exceptional care while creating a supportive and enjoyable working environment.
 
Colleague wellbeing is important to us, with a dedicated Mental Health First Aider within the team. Outside of work, we enjoy regular social events including pub quizzes, summer BBQs and charity challenges, helping us build strong relationships and a positive team culture.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
 
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
 
Working within our recently refurbished practice, you'll provide routine and emergency healthcare to small animal patients, building strong relationships with clients while managing cases through from consultation to treatment and follow-up.
 

Working Pattern

 
* 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days
* 1 Saturday morning per month with TOIL
* No out-of-hours or on-call responsibilities
* Flexible working options available to support work-life balance
 

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

 
You are a confident and motivated Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:
 
* A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
* A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
* Professionalism, reliability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
