We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Midland Vets on a full-time basis.

Midland Vets is a long-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice based in Leyton, East London. Established in the 1970s, we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality first opinion care within our local community. Our practice is well-equipped with a laboratory suite, theatre, radiography, dental x-ray, and three consulting rooms, enabling us to provide a comprehensive service to our patients.

Our friendly and dedicated team includes 6 Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, care assistants, a reception team, and a Practice Manager, all working collaboratively to deliver the highest standards of care. We are also supported by a visiting ultrasonographer and certificate-holding surgeon, allowing us to manage more complex cases within the practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
 
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. 
 
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. 

This is a varied role where you will be involved in all aspects of general practice nursing, including nurse consultations, anaesthesia, and supporting the smooth running of the clinical day. You will also have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills further, with support for CPD, certificates, and training in schedule 3 procedures.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7:45am and 7:30pm. There is a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota, with no out-of-hours or Sunday requirements.

 
General responsibilities include:
 
*Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied small animal caseload 
*Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing 
*Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare 
*Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical environment
