Role Overview:
We are looking for a mid-level Pre‑Sales & Functional Consultant to support the sale and delivery of our Business Central Quick solution to SMB customers.
This is a hybrid role, combining pre‑sales support during the sales cycle with hands‑on functional consultancy throughout project delivery. You will work closely with Sales during opportunity qualification and solution shaping, then stay engaged post‑sale to ensure customer requirements are successfully delivered using standard Business Central functionality.
The role is ideal for someone with Dynamics 365 Business Central experience (or strong familiarity with financial ERP systems) who enjoys being embedded across the end‑to‑end customer journey, from first conversation through to go‑live.
What skills and working characteristics should this person have?
- Hands‑on experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or strong experience with another financial ERP platform
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes
- Experience working in a consultant, pre‑sales, or functional delivery role
- Comfortable engaging finance stakeholders (FDs, Finance Managers, Owners)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to balance commercial and functional conversations
- Experience working with SMB customers
- Desirable:
- Experience working within a Microsoft Partner environment
- Exposure to both pre‑sales and delivery phases of ERP projects
- Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV certifications
- Experience implementing packaged or rapid deployment ERP solutions
As a Pre‑Sales Functional Consultant, you’ll be responsible for:
- Support SMB sales opportunities for the Business Central Quick offering, working closely with Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle
- Lead structured discovery sessions focused on finance and core business processes, qualifying customer requirements and assessing fit against standard Business Central functionality
- Prepare and deliver value‑led Business Central demonstrations tailored to SMB customers, clearly articulating the scope, benefits, and limitations of a packaged ERP solution
- Support the creation of proposals, estimates, and statements of work, and contribute to managing commercial and functional objections
- Ensure clear, accurate handovers from sales into project delivery and remain engaged post‑sale as the functional consultant
- Act as a functional consultant during implementation projects, leading requirements confirmation and fit‑gap workshops within Quick delivery parameters
- Configure Dynamics 365 Business Central to meet customer requirements, primarily across:
- Finance and accounting
- Basic inventory and operational processes (where applicable)
- Reporting and period‑end processes
- Advise customers on best practice, standard processes, and effective system adoption
- Support UAT, data validation, go‑live readiness, and early‑life support
- Assist with user training and knowledge transfer to ensure successful customer outcomes
- Collaborate closely with Delivery and Technical teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with agreed scope
Like the rest of the Infinity team, you'll benefit from:
- The opportunity to work for one of the leading Microsoft Cloud Solution Partners in the UK.
- Work in a great culture, highly ambitious, collaborative, humble and we pride ourselves in making others look cool be it our colleagues or clients.
- Benefits include Unlimited Annual Leave, Private Healthcare, Life Assurance, Company Shares, Electric Car Scheme and Flexible Working.
- A newly renovated office with a break-out area, decent coffee, and a pool table.
- Weekly company events (Think Bigger Friday with Drinks) and quarterly social events with your teams and company-wide affairs including our very own ‘Illuminate’ Annual Awards Gala, Christmas Party, and summer fun. These are not obligatory but there are very few of us who don’t want to be part of the fun and we include your partners too.
What are the next steps?
- Apply with your current resume or link to your LinkedIn profile directly on our careers page – https://www.infinitygroup.co.uk/careers/
- Have a quick call with Dom or Keiran (our internal recruiters), to go over the position in more detail and answer any questions you have.
- 1st stage interview, usually via Teams.
- 2nd / final stage ideally in person as we like to meet everyone in person and show you around our amazing office.
