Role Overview:
As a Field Services Engineer you will be responsible for deploying requests and standard, non-standard and emergency changes to our customers infrastructures in line with ITIL processes. The role will be split between remote and on-premises changes and can include workstation builds, software upgrades and new-user configurations  Our mission statement is to provide a more productive and secure world to our customers, and you will be working to provide request and changes which maintain this ethos.

    • Exchange Online - Email migration methodologies and planning 
    • Licensing 
    • Endpoint Manager - MDM, MAM, InTune, AutoPilot 
    • Teams - Calling and data collaboration 
    • SharePoint - Data platform best practices, migration planning 
    • OneDrive 
    • Identity & security 
    • Azure Virtual Desktop 
    • Backup 
    • Defender for Endpoint 
    • SharePoint Online 
    • Microsoft Server operating systems and virtualisation 
    • Active Directory 
    • Firewalls - Basic understanding of Watchguard & Cisco (Firepower & Meraki) 
    • Networking - Basic understanding of VLANs, switch architecture and wi-fi 

Required Onsite experience:

    • Installations 
    • Cabling work 
    • Network equipment installs 
    • Surveying sites  
    • VOIP

As an IT Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

    • Intake new service requests from a customer and establish if they are requests or standard, nonstandard, or emergency changes and action accordingly 
    • Respond to assigned tickets of an IT nature from within our Ticketing System within SLA. 
    • If required, provide onsite support for scheduled maintenance days 
    • Undertake client visits for installations and system upgrades 
    • Ownership of ticket to completion  
    • Act as an escalation point for complex service requests in your area of expertise 
    • Provide best-in-class Customer Service 
    • Provide Service in-line with ITIL principles 
    • Maintain client documentation and ensure all changes are updated 
    • Provide an accurate account of time within the ticketing system. 
    • Ensure that escalation notes are adequately presented 
    • Actively keep skills up to date and look to new technologies 
    • Act as a mentor to junior members of the team. 
    • Undertake Cabling work, including site surveying for work. 
    • Some installation and networking works.  Installing routers / firewall / switches with some configuration.
