Hey hey,
We're looking to hire a Lead Software Engineer 🤓 that’ll create our first tech platform for HKR. This is NOT an outsourced role, this is you and our very own CEO sitting side by side 💻 💻 and building the future of HKR itself.
The main project is called HKR ONE and it’s a People CRM x HRIS for Slack.
You’re a great candidate for the role if you:
- Have experience with React/NodeJS/Express
- Have experience with databases (haven’t decided yet if PostreSQL, or Mongo)
- Have some experience with AWS (hey, let’s drop it on an EC2 + RDS and we’ll be fine?)
- Have some experience with Figma for UI/UX
- You have a good blend of soft and hard skills. Eventually, this role will evolve into one where you will build your team or assist HKR’s core recruiting function to vet out great software engineers.
We don’t really look at:
- Gazillion years of experience.
- Previous big company names on the CV.
- CIM or B2B, your call.
We will look at:
- Core values, fun, no-drama, let’s get sh*t done and have a great time while we do it.
- Technical skills, of course. Examples of projects you’ve built.
- We have a bit of bias toward someone who can build beautiful products, so UI/UX weighs more.
- People skills. Can you recruit or vet software engineers? Interesting plus!

Ideally, the role is hybrid 3/5 from Mindspace Pipera, but we’re fine with full remote as well.
