As our Head of Operations at grape, you will be instrumental in driving the execution of our ambitious roadmap. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the organization’s daily operations, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently while aligning processes with the company’s strategic goals.
In this pivotal role, being part of the leadership team, you will lead key operational areas, including the claims and business enablement function. Your focus will be on optimizing workflows, improving efficiency, and fostering strong collaboration across all teams to support grape’s success and growth.

🔍 What you’ll do:
- Responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations of the organization, with a specific focus on claims management and business enablement
- Contribute to strategic decision-making, ensuring that operational plans support growth, scalability, and long-term sustainability
- Collaborate with leadership to align operational goals with broader company strategy and objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams
- Manage resource allocation and budget to support the operational needs of the claims and business enablement teams.
- Claims Management, Case Management and Corporate Health Management
- Lead claims function overseeing the end-to-end claims management and case management process to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient handling of claims
- Continuously evaluate and improve claims and case management processes to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency working closely with key stakeholders like e.g. our product manager ensuring alignment with our evolving business needs
- Manage the claims department, ensuring team performance meets company standards and service level agreements.
- Business Enablement & Operational Excellence
- Lead business enablement function, including cross-functional collaboration to support operations and business growth company wide
- Drive continuous improvements in operational workflows, ensuring operational scalability, driving automation and identifying areas for optimization and innovation
- Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and policies that enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to ensure targets are met and adjust strategies as needed.
🛠️ What you’ll need:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in a Head of Operations or similar role, ideally within a B2B environment. Experience in product companies, service providers would be advantageous
- Skills:
- Excellent understanding of operational systems, processes, and policies
- Advanced skills in strategic planning to ensure scalability and achievement of long-term organizational goals
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making, including analyzing productivity KPIs
- Proven track record of improving operational processes and increasing team output
- Strong problem-solving and self-management skills, with the ability to tackle challenges both tactically and analytically
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex requirements clearly
- Thorough understanding of industry best practices in systems and controls
- Client-Oriented: Strong account management skills
- People Leader: At least 5+ years experience in leadership roles with direct reports
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
- Fast-paced environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating strategic thinking and a proactive approach to business growth.
