Purpose of the role
The Release Team specialise in preparing for, carrying out and monitoring releases for new and existing games. Responsibilities include creating, updating and enforcing Frontier Requirements (bespoke requirements that ensure each release goes as expected) and working in the applicable developer portals to release builds to the public.

Successful candidates will communicate with all roles involved in releasing a build, ensuring that each required job has been completed appropriately and on time. After a release, the team will monitor for user submitted crashes, notifying the game team of the results through a series of reports.

It is also the Release Team’s responsibility to submit new titles to age rating boards such as PEGI and ESRB. This involves careful planning to ensure deadlines are met, as well as gathering the necessary submission materials from different departments while making sure they meet the rating boards’ standards.

We are seeking a technically minded communicator who is looking to challenge themselves in a role that includes both working as part of a team and on individual assignments. You’ll be joining during an exciting period of growth at Frontier and as part of our QA team your work will help ensure the continued level of quality of our current games.


    • Creating, updating and enforcing Frontier Requirements
    • Working closely and communicating with all relevant teams involved to ensure a successful release for any platform
    • Releasing builds to the public using developer portals for Steam, Epic and more
    • Assisting in setting up crash reporting for new titles
    • Monitoring and reporting public build stability across all platforms in a clear and accurate manner
    • Backing up debug symbols for public builds
    • Submitting new titles to age rating boards
    • Investigating ways to improve our processes within the team
    • Completing ad-hoc requests

Qualifications & Experience:

    • Essential:

    • Highly computer-literate
    • Technical industry experience

    • Desirable:
    • Track record of working well both within a team and independently
    • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Hansoft and TeamCity
    • Experience with Steam, Epic Store, Oculus, Microsoft and Sony developer portals
    • Experience with age rating submission processes
