Frontier is an established, market leading independent developer and publisher of videogames for PC and consoles. Founded in 1994, we are based in the world-leading technology cluster and historic city of Cambridge, England. We have achieved serial successes across a wide variety of titles including Elite Dangerous, Planet Coaster, Jurassic World Evolution and Planet Zoo. We are continuing to grow our team to support our existing portfolio and an exciting and ambitious future roadmap, which includes the development of both own-IP titles and licensed-IP titles. Our IP-license partners include Universal (Jurassic World), Formula 1 and Games Workshop (Warhammer).We are also growing our team to continue the expansion of Frontier Foundry, our publishing label for games developed by carefully selected partner studios.
We have a modern spacious studio located on the Cambridge Science Park in the heart of the Cambridge tech hub. For those who wish to relocate to the Cambridge area and work either entirely in the studio or flexibly between the studio and home, we can provide generous financial and practical support to facilitate your move. We are also able to offer remote working for those who would prefer to work almost exclusively from home or who are unable to relocate. As part of our continued growth we have a vacancy for a Producer to join our fantastic team on our proprietary Cobra Engine . You will work closely with our talented team of engineers and help deliver new versions of our Engine & Tools for all developers, artists and designers at Frontier to use. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a studio with a track record of delivering successful AAA titles and work with our experienced and passionate teams as you develop your career with us.
- Co-ordinating development on the Cobra Engine, reporting to the Lead Producer.
- Helping the development team to achieve their goals and deliver content on time and to a high quality.
- Prioritising and scheduling work based on the project roadmap.
- Coordinating and assisting multiple Game Teams to deliver bespoke Engine Features they may require.
- Running sprint planning, standups, reviews and retrospectives.
- Creating and optimising processes and pipelines to ensure efficient development.
- Maintaining strong relationships with the development team and any external partners.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Experience in game production with at least one shipped title on PC or Console.
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to motivate different teams and disciplines effectively.
- An understanding of Agile processes.
- Experience of helping teams to find solutions to problems.
- Confident working in a fast paced environment and able to react positively to change.
- Good organizational skills with a systematic and methodical approach.
- Knowledge of Hansoft or JIRA beneficial.
- Experience working on Game Engines or Lower Level technical teams is a plus.
