The Role
As a Senior Technical Program Manager with Everseen, you will be responsible for managing complex projects from requirements to production, driving the design, development, validation, and release schedule. You will own tracking and communication of goals, responsibilities and target outcomes across organizational stakeholders, as well as detailed planning and tracking for engineering teams. While focusing on Engineering, you will work closely with our Product Management, Reasearch and ICT teams to ensure the best and most efficient solutions.
You will partner with business organizations (e.g. Customer Success, Sales), as well as Operational teams to determine the best trade-offs required to optimise time-to-market, disambiguate needs, and negotiate effective technical solutions. You will anticipate obstacles and escalate issues when needed in order to ensure on-time delivery.
You will be an individual capable of operatingacross multiple business and engineering teams, with an ability to manage complex projects involving distributed systems, cloud, edge, and very high data volumes.
What you’ll do
- Define processes, develop project plans, negotiate and set milestones, and bring the team together to solve technical problems and ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate with stakeholders in multiple teams across Engineering, Product, Research, Revenue and Operations to achieve the program goals.
- Provide visibility and clarity on program goals and status, risks and mitigation strategies, issues and blockers, as well as actions needed to ensure success for all stakeholders, up to senior leadership.
- Identify blockers, both technical and organizational, and work with business and development teams to unblock delivery.
- Influence business and technical priorities, and apply project management best practices to increase the predictability of our deliveries.
- Identify improvement opportunities, and work across teams with undefined areas of ownership to bring clarity and accountability.
- Understand, discuss and keep up with any changes to the architecture of the Everseen systems you work with (e.g., workflows, APIs, design limitations, scalability and maintenance requirements).
- Communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all types of audiences including senior leadership.
- Lead the resolution of contentious issues, drive escalations, identify and mitigate risks for project delivery, and ensure regular status reporting.
- Acts as a mentor to team members and assists with coaching colleagues in the project management and wider teams.
Collaborating with
- Everseen’s Development Teams, DevOps Teams, ICT Teams, Product Teams, Operations and Slaes & Customer Success Teams.
Profile and Skills
- 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules. Practical experience of managing programs for building and operating large-scale distributed systems for services and data. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project objectives.
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive large-scale programs and reporting to senior leadership. Familiarity work management tools like JIRA, providing an advantage in managing projects within dynamic and iterative environments.
- You have a keen interest in Everseen's technology solutions and are comfortable discussing them at a high level,
- You like to stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in relation to program management for software development and Everseen’s solutions.
- You are a strong communicator and you are organized and thriving in an environment of mutual respect, openness and collaboration.
- Excellent collaboration skills, driving consensus and alignment between engineering teams and with internal/external partners.
- You have practical experience in evolving/growing teams towards a continuous delivery culture.
- Strong technical judgment and influential skills to facilitate business-critical decisions
- Proactive self-starter with the capacity to engage in multiple initiatives concurrently. Adaptable to changing project requirements and able to anticipate and address potential issues promptly.
- An understanding of cloud and edge computing technologies and services is preferred.
- Experience with Computer Vision / ML research and development projects is preferred.
