Reporting to the Chief of Staff and Strategy, the VP of Operations will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of Everseen India. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, strategic planning, and execution to support the company’s growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional support services.
What you'll do
- Strategy- Work as part of the executive leadership team to ensure understanding, contribution to and execution of Everseen strategy. Ensure that this strategy broken down into goals that raise the performance bar for the Indian Operations function.
- Functional Management- Oversee and manage the activities of approximately 370 employees in India across Annotation, Operations, Technical Support (L1 and L2), and Reporting, catering to global needs and skill levels ranging from entry to advance. Supervisedaily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources
- Operational Delivery- Support the team to meet and exceed daily, weekly and monthly operational performance goals, KPIs and SLAs related to speed, quality and innovation. These goals include (but are not limited to) the elimination and prevention of waste, defects and general productivity improvements. Regular review of overall strategy and discussion with stakeholders to ensure these goals/KPIs/SLAs are meeting and exceeding expectations and supporting the development of the business.
- Talent Retention and Attraction- Enable the support, development of new and existing employees including strategic leadership roles. Work with HR, people leaders and wider stakeholders to ensure robust talent development strategies are implemented and ongoing performance improvement is supported. Look at talent landscape and identify top performers with high potential. Build a talent development plan to implement and roll out L3 support in the India sites.
- Culture- Cultivate and grow a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement resulting in an improvement in innovation, productivity and efficiency while ensuring alignment with the overarching culture and values of the organisation.
- Engagement- Together with the Chief of Staff & Strategy, work directly with functional leaders at a country and global level to align with strategy and expectations for the function. Foster a deep understanding of the strategy across the global functions including Global Operations, Research, Engineering and Product to continually ensure that goals for Operations India are supporting these functions.
- Collaboration-Lead all Everseen’s functional teams in India including Operations, Annotation, Technical Support & Reporting to ensure cohesive operational strategies and goal alignment.
- Continuous Improvement- Build a program and culture of continuous improvement across all Operations teams including a particular focus on efficiency, innovation and raising the bar. These efforts should result in a significant improvement in productivity, scalability and quality across all functions.
- Risk Mitigation- Ensure deep understanding of corporate policies and processes by engaging with Finance, Legal and HR teams. Identify and manage all operational and compliance risks, creating and implementing mitigation strategies in coordination with corporate policies and processes.
- Revenue Streams- Lead the development of a proposed revenue model for India that incorporates an upsell to existing customers for services offered.
Collaborating with
- The VP of Operations will collaborate closely with all Everseen's functional teams to ensure alignment with corporate goals and strategies.
Profile and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred
- You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management and a proven track record of driving operational excellence and managing large-scale operations
- You have proven experience in leading operations for global SaaS companies with transforming and scaling operations teams
- You possess strong leadership and team management skills and you have previous experience.
- You have demonstrated success in leading teams both geographically and cross functionally dispersed. You have a hands-on, low-bureaucracy, collaborative approach.
- You possess a deep understanding of key success metrics and how these are managed and driven through the organization. You have experience with Six Sigma or similar standards
- You have excellent communication skills, you enjoy building key successful, collaborative relationships with stakeholders. You use these skills to explain operational issues and build solutions and optionality.
- You have sufficient technical experience or knowledge to understand Everseen product offering, features, and functions.
- You have excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- You have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and you thrive in a fast-moving, growth stage environment
- You have previous experience with recruiting for teams and you like to attract, develop, and retain top talent
- You have unquestioned discipline.
