About your team

Join the dynamic Legal & Tax Team at Eneba, where we are committed to unlocking sustainable business growth through combining our legal and tax expertise, risk management acumen, and comprehensive business knowledge. We work in close collaboration with other teams, to identify and implement solutions that best serve Eneba's long-term interests. This collaborative approach ensures that Eneba's growth is well-supported, while simultaneously upholding the necessary safeguards for business continuity. We are fast and resourceful but never reckless.
As a Legal Counsel, you will be the primary point of contact for all contractual needs within our organization. You'll have the opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams, including Payments, Business Development, and Accounting, to drive Eneba's business growth and contribute to the company's success. 

Responsibilities

    • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements with external counterparts, while providing expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
    • Provide time-sensitive legal guidance and support for internal stakeholders on various corporate matters and commercial deals.
    • Develop and implement efficient and streamlined contract negotiation and vendor management processes.
    • Create and maintain standard form agreements, and establish processes that minimize the need for extensive legal support in handling routine agreements.
    • Ensure legal compliance across the company and its subsidiaries in multiple jurisdictions (EU, UK, US, and SEA), and contribute to corporate housekeeping activities alongside the rest of the Legal Team.
    • Effectively manage external legal consultants, collaborating on corporate matters and commercial deals.

Requirements

    • A master’s degree or equivalent in Law.
    • 4+ years experience at a top law firm/in-house with a focus on commercial and corporate matters.
    • Strong knowledge of international contracts law with baseline expertise in at least one of the following legal fields: Corporate governance /M&A and venture capital transactions / Employment /Financial regulations.
    • Exceptional time management, task ownership, and prioritization skills.
    • Proven track record of deeply understanding the business and leveraging this knowledge in decision-making.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal matters in business language.
    • Proven track record of making well-informed judgment calls, based on cost-benefit analysis, to determine when to persist and when to compromise.

Nice to have requirements

    • Experience working with or at a financial institution or tech company.
    • Experience working with agreements from payments and e-commerce industries.
€36,000 - €60,000 a year
*Salary ranges may vary. We’re seeking candidates with varied experience levels; from individual contributors to functional leaders in this space.
*We’re an international team and our business language of choice is English. Good English level is required, proficiency is preferred.
