Risk Team Lead
About the team
Behind every groundbreaking product, there’s an awesome team! We are the Product Operations team, working on one of Eneba’s products to help keep the experience safe, fair, and reliable for our users. Our work is focused on protecting legitimate users while reducing abuse, and we approach that challenge by combining team leadership, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making. None of this can be done without balancing business impact with user experience, as we continuously look for smarter ways to reduce fraud, minimize false positives, and improve response quality. Because the product is still evolving, there is plenty of room to shape processes, challenge assumptions, and unlock new opportunities together with cross-functional partners.
About Your Role
We are looking for a Risk Team Lead to take full, independent ownership of our products' Risk department. Your mission is to protect our revenue by outsmarting bot farms and bad actors while ensuring our real users have a frictionless experience. You will solve the "Double Revenue Loss" problem by ensuring we only pay rewards to legitimate players and that our publishers receive high-quality traffic.
As the Risk Team Lead, you will manage a team of 5. You aren't just a supervisor; you are the strategic architect of our anti-fraud initiatives.
Responsibilities
-
Set the Direction: You’ll decide how we fight fraud and reduce false positives, making sure the team’s priorities actually help the business grow.
-
Full Ownership: You will have the autonomy to create procedures "on the go" in a fast-paced environment where results matter more than hours logged.
-
Plan the Future: You’ll build the quarterly goals and roadmaps, ensuring every project is clearly defined and executed with a sense of ownership.
-
Break Down Problems: You’ll help the team understand complex fraud issues by structuring them into clear, actionable areas for the Data and Engineering teams to jump on.
-
Focus on Impact: You’ll lead a team of 5 (Specialists and an Analyst), setting clear goals and making sure they stay focused on the work that actually moves the needle.
-
Coach and Develop: You’ll support the team through regular 1-on-1s and performance chats, helping people grow by matching tasks to their specific strengths.
-
Manage the Day-to-Day: You’ll keep an eye on performance metrics to spot any "red flags" early, guiding the team toward the right actions based on real data.
-
Partner Across the Company: You’ll work closely with Product and Customer Support to align on what matters most and keep fraud-related projects moving forward.
-
Communicate Progress: You’ll keep leadership updated on KPI movements and operational challenges, providing clear advice on where the team should focus next.
-
Build Business Cases: When the team needs new tools or features, you’ll use data to show the "Why" and the "ROI" to get stakeholders on board.
Requirements
-
Proven experience in team leadership, with the ability to take ownership, make decisions, and independently lead a function forward.
-
Strong background in project and stakeholder management, with the ability to align different teams, manage priorities, and drive execution in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience in risk, fraud, trust and safety, or similarly relevant operational environments.
-
Demonstrated data-driven mindset, including the ability to work with KPIs, interpret trends, evaluate impact, and make decisions grounded in numbers.
-
Experience improving operational performance through clear goal-setting, structured follow-through, and measurable outcomes.
-
Ability to coach and develop team members, identify strengths and gaps, and create the conditions for stronger team performance.
-
Confidence working in an evolving setup where processes are not fully established and where initiative is needed to shape direction.
-
Familiarity with tools such as SQL is considered a nice to have, not a requirement.
