About the Team
Behind every great product is a strong team - and Fraud & Risk Operations is one of the cornerstones of Eneba’s success.
This team is responsible for safeguarding our platforms, protecting user trust, and ensuring that transactions across our marketplace and products are secure, fair, and optimized for conversion.
We’re hiring two Fraud Analysts to strengthen fraud prevention across our products. In this role, you’ll own fraud decisioning end-to-end — from identifying patterns in data, to designing and refining risk logic, to implementing and iterating on solutions.
Depending on the area you’re supporting, your focus may be on optimizing and improving an existing fraud setup or on building and scaling fraud decisioning for a newer, fast-growing environment. In both cases, you’ll work hands-on with data, risk rules, and verification strategies, with real ownership and accountability for outcomes.
If you’re a self-starter who enjoys autonomy, accountability, and solving complex problems with data — this is your team.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of fraud detection and prevention for one of Eneba’s products.
- Analyze large datasets using SQL to identify fraud patterns, anomalies, and emerging attack vectors.
- Design, write, and optimize dynamic fraud risk rules that scale with the business.
- Own and continuously improve False Positive Rates, balancing fraud prevention with conversion and customer experience.
- Own 3DS decisioning and optimization across multiple countries, deciding when and how additional authentication should be triggered.
- Analyze conversion, rejection, and verification drop-off rates, and propose data-driven improvements.
- Design and maintain fraud detection logic, alerts, and workflows used by Fraud Specialists.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Payments, Data, and Engineering teams to improve fraud and verification systems.
- Track and report fraud trends, clearly communicating insights and recommendations.
- Take responsibility for decisions made, learn from outcomes, and iterate quickly.
Requirements - Must-Haves
- Proven experience in fraud analysis, payments risk, or risk management, with clear ownership over outcomes.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working with large datasets (SQL is mandatory).
- Experience writing and maintaining dynamic fraud risk rules.
- Strong ability to manage and optimize False Positive Rates and approval rates.
- Deep, practical knowledge of 3DS and how authentication strategies differ across countries and regions.
- Solid understanding of fraud patterns, user behavior, and payment-related risk.
- Confidence in making data-backed decisions and owning the impact of those decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Requirements - Nice-to-Haves
- Python experience (SQL remains the core requirement).
- Experience working with fintechs, payment processors, or high-growth product companies.
- Familiarity with fraud and payments tools such as Adyen, Stripe Radar, Sift, Forter, Riskified, Seon.
- Exposure to PSD2, SCA, TRA, and liability shift concepts.
- Experience working in international, multi-market environments.
€37,200 - €42,780 a year
