About your team 

As a Finance, Legal & Ops team, we are business partners in Eneba. By cooperating and supporting the organization in finance and accounting topics we strive to enable growth, optimize and improve the current internal processes. At the same time we act as strategic advisors whose input helps shape the roadmap of product teams.
As an accounting Team Lead you will oversee the accounting team, its structure and functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and efficient financial operations. You will drive the search, implementation and integration of accounting tools and software . This role requires a blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on accounting expertise.

Responsibilities

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring efficient workflow and structure and professional development.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.
    • Implement new accounting processes, technologies and tools as needed.
    • Lead the month-end closing process and provide expertise on technical accounting queries.
    • Ensure compliance with local GAAP standards, manage audits, and prepare financial statements.
    • Support VAT reporting, tax and other reporting compliance, prepare income tax returns.
    • Act as the primary contact for various departments and external parties (tax consultants, auditors) regarding accounting matters.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including leadership roles.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
    • Proficient in the accounting processes, audit preparation, and financial statement preparation.
    • Excellent knowledge in MS Office.
    • Strong business acumen, ability to understand business in detail by connecting the responsibilities and inputs of all organizational units.
    • Exceptional time management, task ownership, and prioritization skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
    • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
    • Experience in the technology company (start-up) or e-commerce industry is a plus.
€38,400 - €45,600 a year
*Salary ranges may vary. We’re seeking candidates with varied experience levels; from individual contributors to functional leaders in this space.
*We’re an international team and our business language of choice is English. Good English level is required, proficiency is preferred.
