Project: Portfolio Company Performance Metrics Study

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support a study on identifying and proposing key financial and non-financial metrics to monitor the performance of our portfolio companies. This role provides hands-on experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, and performance tracking within a dynamic and supportive business environment.

Main responsibilities

    • Conduct a comprehensive study on key financial and non-financial metrics used to evaluate company performance.
    • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand the business model/industry of portfolio companies.
    • Propose a portfolio monitoring framework tailored to specific business models and industry needs.

Other responsibilities

    • Organize and execute a digital filing system for documents related to our portfolio companies.
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency in file naming conventions and organization.
    • Collaborate with team members to streamline document collection processes and improve efficiency.
    • Input data in various systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field
    • Ability to interpret financial statements and business metrics
    • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Internship Duration & Deliverables

    • Duration: 3-6 months
    • Deliverables: Findings report summarizing the study results (in powerpoint) that includes proposed key metric tracking framework and presentation of findings to senior team members and stakeholders.
