About the Role:
We propose you to join our Ops team in order to cover Network Operations, at the heart of the Diabolocom service. Ops team participates in the deployment and operational maintenance of our SaaS platforms, on a Hybrid Cloud basis.
The Diabolocom Hybrid Cloud is composed of on-premise infrastructure distributed amongst 5 dedicated colocations around Paris and Germany and public clouds (AWS / GCP / OVH).
Offering solutions with a high level of security and availability, and certified environments, notably PCI-DSS and HDS (health data), the network is the keystone of the infrastructure of the company.
We are evolving towards a Pure IP infrastructure, incorporating IPv6 deployment. In a context of strong development, Diabolocom is gradually transitioning to an IP fabric. Within the Network part of the Ops team, you will be in charge of designing the new architecture and setting up labs to validate technical solutions, with the aim of converging towards an IP Fabric.
This will allow for flexibility between the Public Cloud and on-premise infrastructures while preparing for the international deployment of Diabolocom’s main SaaS platform using a NetOps approach.
You will integrate the network into operational IaC and work on implementing an intelligent system to mitigate and prevent restraints and breakdowns. In parallel, routine operations will cover the deployment of private interconnections with our customers through direct cross-connects and VPN links, maintaining the network in production, and constant supervision of the backbone.
If you are technically minded, you will have the opportunity to visit and operate within the Diabolocom co-locations and PoPs.
At Diabolocom, you will:
· Co-architect infrastructure evolution
· Develop labs to validate implementations (gns3, Containerlab)
· Oversee the network and vision for its development
· Recommend technical choices and defend recommended solution
· Interface with customer teams for interconnections
· Define KPIs to measure network performance
· Maintain Datacenter, Cloud and WAN networks
· Troubleshoot issues and problems
What we are looking for:
· Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
· Mastery of L2/L3 networks and MP-BGP/OSPF/IS-IS/MPLS LDP protocols
· Experience with Cisco or/and Juniper or any other major network vendor (Cisco like or Juniper like approach)
· Security-conscious with an appetite for optimization and automation
· Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal skills
· You have the security of the infrastructure in mind
· You have an appetite to optimize and automate systems
Technical Scope of the Networks Teams:
· IaC network scripting and automation under Ansible and Python (also includes Go)
· Zero Trust Infrastructure and Auto Provisioning
· IPsec Point-to-Point VPN, Wireguard, Host-Based firewall, Juniper SRX platform
· Routing on a Host (FRR, Bird, ExaBGP, GoBGP)
· Deployment of IPv4/IPv6 MP-BGP, MPLS LDP, and RSVP networks
· Deployment of IP BGP EVPN-VxLAN fabric
· L2 network and MLAG link management on Cisco stack
· SNMP network monitoring (NMS), Syslog monitoring, and Streaming Telemetry (Prometheus timeseries)
· IPAM monitoring and maintenance, DWDM network maintenance
· Day-to-day evolution of edge routing policies
