CSM Rijeka is looking for self-motivated and skilled seafarers to join our expanding fleet of Columbia Shipmanagement.

JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS

 

Oversee engineering operations, ensure adherence to the company management system, and report issues and improvements to the Chief Engineer.

Responsible for leading and supervising engineering officers and crew in maintenance, repairs, and daily operations.

Plan, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance for machinery and equipment.

Ensure proper management of spares, consumables, and stock control systems.

Promote safety, environmental compliance, and risk management, including supporting inspections and incident investigations.

Monitor, record, and manage environmental systems and equipment (e.g., OWS, OCM, incinerator, seals logbooks).

 

Holder of a valid COC (STCW Reg II/2) with verification.

Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position.

Good knowledge of on-board training requirement and needs for the crew. 

Experience with a multicultural working environment.

Good communication and leadership skills.

Proactive problem-solving skills to address equipment issues, and environmental risks in a timely manner.

Effective English communication.

Safety culture and mindset.

 

VESSEL'S SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

 

Substantial experience as Staff Chief Engineer on large cruise ships with worldwide itinerary.

Experience in worldwide itinerary

 

CONTRACT TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Contract Duration [4 months +/- 1 month]
