Head Bartender
Reports to : Assistant Bar Manager

Responsibilities:
·       Effectively manage the allocated bar outlet/s, ensuring all working and cleaning routines and rotas are followed and the appearance and condition of all items including glassware & equipment meet the required standards.
·       Direct the team to provide an efficient, smooth and financially sound operation, enhancing the guest experience.
·       Maintain and improve standards continually striving to improve guest satisfaction scores and effectively resolve passenger issues or complaints.
·       Ensure all relevant IT systems are operational and the fixtures and fittings, within own area, are in the best state of repair reporting any issues.
·       Supervise, monitor, develop and train members of the team to ensure the provision of a high quality, bar service whilst ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with all current safety and company regulations, including the Public Health Policy and Procedure.
·       Monitor costs and resources within own area and inform the Assistant Bars Manager of any issues immediately.
·       Maintain par stock levels and manage replacements for breakages or damaged items / equipment within budget.
·       Complete regular checks and ensure the section and equipment is operated and maintained in a sanitized and clean state at all times, undertaking regular inspections.
·       Actively generate bar revenue by implementing and encouraging staff to promote agreed campaigns increasing revenue generating opportunities. 

Profile:
·       Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and flag certification for the duration of the contract and appropriate to position
·       Strong knowledge and experience in Public Health Rules and Regulations related to VSP
·       Previous Head Bartender or Head Sommelier experience in a 4-star cruise environment
·       Excellent working knowledge of food, beverage (wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, coffee, tea) and an international cuisine
·       Fluency in English and Arabic.
