Position Summary / Job description
We are looking for an experienced IT Officer to join our onboard team.
Primary Responsibility of the Role:
· Ensuring the overall condition of all IT Systems on board that include all server & PC systems with their operating systems. The broadband internet connection system, the e-mail communication systems and office applications as well as specialized applications as required and assigned by Club Med IT Department.
· Holding the overall responsibility of maintenance of hardware, as wells as for all software related issues (configuration, updating and administration).
· Administrating the access permission of users including passwords when related to ship’s crew.
· Holding the overall responsibility of the security of IT Systems (virus protection, protection against unauthorized system access, protection of security sensitive information).
· Providing training for user induction and software and giving support in all issues related to the IT hard and software under his responsibility when related to ship’s crew.
· Facilitating crew members access to CBT.
· Taking care of IT spare parts and IT consumables (toner, cartridges) for receiving stowage, care and economical use of all IT stores and spare parts.
-Maintaining the inventory of consumables related to his area of responsibility with the support of hotel department which should be also reported daily to the Hotel Inventory Controller for input in MXP (Requisition).
-Receiving and cross checking the quantity of delivered parcels for his area of responsibility versus what is mentioned to delivery note.
· Maintaining the working area clean, safe, and handling tools and equipment with care.
· Participating in emergency drills and responding to actual emergencies as per the Muster List.
· Adhering to all safety regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during work activities.
· Adhering and complying with all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives.
· Performing duties and tasks according to above but not limited to that.

- Previous experience on cruise ship
- Certification as per latest Qualification Requirements Matrix
Employment Terms & Conditions
- Duration of the contract: 3 month +/- 1 month
- Date of Embarkation: ASAP
- Salary range: as per applicable wages scale.
