Assist the Chief Engineer in the maintenance and operation of main propulsion and auxiliary systems.

Regularly inspect boilers, engineering systems, and machinery for potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.

Maintain and repair pumps, compressors, generators, and other mechanical and electrical equipment.

Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Monitor the engine room and other technical spaces.

Keep accurate records of engineering service operations and report any abnormalities.

Participate in emergency drills and be familiar with damage control plans and procedures.

 

Holder of a valid Engineering Watchkeeping Certificate or equivalent.

Previous experience in a similar role aboard vessels is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems and machinery.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Good communication skills.
