Reports to : 3rd Engineer and Staff Chief Engineer
Job Description :
· Keep the Incinerator Room, refuse room and cold storage room clean at all times.
· Keep all equipment in the refuse room clean and in good working condition.
· Ensure that the garbage separation system is followed at all times.
· Monitor incinerator equipment and system in the refuse handling areas.
· Immediately report any malfunction of equipment or systems.
· Assist in offloading garbage to reception facility ashore or to barge.
· Perform duties to senior officer’s instructions.
· Responsible for Logs and receipts pertaining to refuse handling and to forward these to the Staff Captain.
· Collect refuse from designated collection points in the vicinity of the Incinerator Room.
Requirements :
· Medical Fitness (As per Flag Requirements. Max. validity – 2 years);
· Basic Safety (BS) STCW A-VI/1.2;
· Crowd Management (CM) STCW A-V/2.3;
· Crisis Management & Human Behaviour (CMHB) STCW A-V/2.4;
· Direct services to Passengers (DSP) STCW A-V/2.2;
· Security Awareness (SA) STCW A-VI/6.1;
· English – Proficiency.
Length of Contract :
9 Months on / 2 Months off
