We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join our Mixed Signal Design team. You will be responsible for assisting in the design of digital logic circuits and digital filters for high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits, including ADCs and DACs, amplifiers, power converters, low-power DSP processors and other circuitry in advanced CMOS processes.    Applications for these circuits includes Audio Codecs and Amplifiers, Haptics & Sensing Solutions, Camera Controllers, and Battery & Power Management ICs.  

Responsibilities:

    • Digital design using Verilog, logic simulation, functional verification, and synthesis in a mixed signal environment.
    • Work within a collaborative team environment to implement and verify RTL modules.
    • May also include behavioral modeling of analog and mixed signal circuits, lab evaluation activities and support for silicon characterization or production test. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Digital Signal Processing, Matlab/Simulink, Verilog design methodologies, transistor-level simulators and synthesis / place and route tools.
    • This opportunity is available only to students currently enrolled in a MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering maintaining a GPA of 3.6 or above, and who will be returning to school for at least one semester following completion of his/her internship.
    • Candidate must be available for full time employment during the internship period.
    • This opportunity is available for a long semester only.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of design for test (scan) and other activities as required for the achievement of full volume production.
    • Perl or Python programming a plus.

Cirrus Logic follows a 2+ day in-office work schedule but interns should expect to be in the office more often, up to 5 days per week, based on business needs and team preference. Interns must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning their internship with Cirrus Logic.
